Newington’s commercial, office, and industrial zones are qualified Economic Revitalization Zones (ERZs). New Hampshire offers a business tax credit for qualified projects that are located in this zone, add to the infrastructure, and create Jobs. The US Tax Foundation ranks New Hampshire’s business tax climate 7th nationally and 1st in New England. New Hampshire is proud to have:
- No use tax
- No sales tax
- No estate tax
- No internet tax
- No inventory tax
- No capital gains tax
- No professional service tax
- No broad base personal income tax
- Low corporate income tax
The state also offers the following tax incentives:
- The New Hampshire Research and Development Tax Credit: enables businesses to apply for tax credits on new research and development costs they can use toward business taxes paid. The credit can be carried forward for up to five years.
- The New Hampshire Job Training Fund: provides a 50/50 cash match grant $750 to $100,000 for customized training of a company’s employees.
- The Economic Revitalization Zone Tax Credit: offers a short term business tax credit for projects that improve infrastructure and create jobs in designated areas of a municipality.
