Newington Hires Economic Development Intern

The town of Newington recently hired Jordan Strater as its economic development intern. Jordan is a student at the University of New Hampshire studying environmental and resource economics with a minor in green real estate. Jordan was raised in Exeter, NH and is a graduate of Exeter High School. Some of her initial projects will include creating marketing materials, developing resources for new and existing businesses, and website design. Jordan and the Town’s Economic Development Committee (EDC) are currently working on an event for commercial and industrial real estate brokers in mid-October.

The Economic Development Committee’s role is to foster existing business growth as well as encourage new businesses to consider the town of Newington as their location. The committee was formed in January of this year, and has already made strides in planning for Newington’s current and future economy. Brandon Arsenault is the Chair of the EDC and Jeff Hiatt is the Vice Chair.
