Work commencing before permit issuance:

(IBC Section 108.4 & IRC Section R108.7) Any person who is found to have demolished, constructed, altered, removed, or change the use of a building or structure without the benefit of a building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or change of use permit shall, prior to issuance of said permit be assessed a fee of 200% of the regular permit fee or $300.00 whichever is greater. If the regular fee is over $300.00 the permit fee shall be the regular fee plus $300.00

Outside plans review services:

When a third party plan review agency is hired to perform plan and structural review the incurred cost associated with said review shall be the responsibility of the applicant or their agent, and shall be paid to the Town of Newington prior to the issuance of the certificate of completion, or occupancy.
